Lymphedema Center

In developed countries, about 20% of breast cancer and 40% gynecologic cancer patients will suffer from lymphedema after cancer treatment. In Taiwan, we are expecting an increase of 4-5000 new lymphedema patients annually. Supermicrosurgical lymphaticovenous anastomosis (LVA) was first introduced to our hospital in September 2015 by Dr. Johnson Chia-Shen Yang. The 200th LVA milestone was performed in July 2019.  Lymphedema Center was established in August 2019. Dr. Yang is the director of Lymphedema Center.  We are the leading center in supermicrosurgery in Taiwan. More than 12 foreing patients from China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Macau have received  LVA in our Center.
